Wang Kon
This month you will lead The Koreans. The Contender save is at Immortal level of difficulty. Hope you survive and enjoy it.
Wang Kon is Protective and Financial and starts with Mysticism and Mining. Your Protective trait provides free promotions to your Archer and Gunpowder units of Drill 1 and City Garrison 1 while providing double production speed of Walls and Castles. Your Financial trait provides +1 Commerce on tiles with 2 or more.
Your unique unit is the Hwacha. It replaces the Catapult and can withdraw from combat with a 25% chance, does collateral damage, bombards city defenses at -15% per turn and has a +50% versus melee units. The Hwacha does not receive defensive bonuses.
Your unique building is the Seowon. It replaces the University and provides +3 culture per turn and adds +35% to research.
Good Luck! I think you may need it.
IMPORTANT: This game must be played with the Warlords 2.13 patch, and the HOF mod version 2.13.003 (Windows). This is the latest version of the HoF Mod for Warlords, and is NOT the version used for WOTM 19.
As always, have fun playing the GOTM and we hope you join us in the postgame discussions!

Choose your Game
Besides the normal contender, we sometimes provide an easier save (the adventurer save) and an extra-hard save (the challenger).
Below are the details for the saves we are providing for this game. You can choose to play and submit any one of these:
Adventurer (the easy save)
The adventurer starting save has been changed to make your game a bit easier. However, if you submit an adventurer game, you won't eligible to win any of the medals or fastest finish awards when the results are published.
These are your adventurer bonuses:
- Your game will be played at Emperor level of difficulty.
