This is a C3C Game Of The Month. It MUST be played in Conquests Patch version 1.22.
Conquest 11: Korea
The beginning of Korean history is often dated to 2333 B.C. when King Tan-gun, a legendary figure born of the son of Heaven and a woman from a bear-totem tribe, established the first kingdom named Choson, literally meaning the "Land of the Morning Calm."
Small communities and, later, town-states rose, flourished and fell for the first two thousand years of Korea's history, separated by mountain ranges that served as natural and political boundaries between regions.
In the first century B.C., finally, the Three Kingdoms, Koguryo, Paekche and Shilla (57 B.C. - A.D. 935), emerged as the main powers on the Korean Peninsula and part of what is now known as Manchuria.
Ever since Shilla unified the peninsula in 668, Korea has been ruled by a single government and has maintained its political independence and cultural and ethnic identity in spite of frequent foreign invasions.
In the late 19th century, Korea became the focus of intense competition among imperialist nations such as China, Russia or Japan. In 1910, Japan annexed Korea and instituted colonial rule, bringing the Choson Dynasty to an end and with it traditional Korea. National liberation came in 1945, but was soon followed by territorial division.
Will you overcome natural and human barriers and unite Korea and make it grow large and prosperous, or will you choose to remain within your natural borders and pursue the path of peace and diplomacy?
Will you manage to rule your nation throughout history, or will other powers extend their domain on your lands?

A 'fix' for the Barbarians!: As many of you know, the barbarians in C3C are 'broken'. This can be fixed by going to your \Conquest\ folder, and opening your Conquests.ini file, and adding a line noaipatrol=0 to the file. Whilst we cannot force people to do this, it will make the game a bit more interesting if you do. If you are not comfortable editing your .ini file, you can download a utility here to do it automatically.
