We haven't played a BOTM with the Vikings in over a year... and that miscarriage of justice is about to be corrected.
You will play as Ragnar of the Vikings. You are Agressive and Financial, and start with Hunting and Fishing. The AGG trait gives you free Combat1 promotion on melee and gunpowder units plus +50% on production of barracks and drydocks. The FIN trait gives you +1 commerce on any tile giving two or more commerce normally. Your unique unit is the Berserker, which replaces the Maceman, and starts with Amphibious promo, can be built with iron or copper, and gets +10% city attack and +50% bonus against melee. Your unique building is the Trading Post, which replaces the lighthouse and provides free +1 movement to naval units built in that city, in addition to the usual properties of lighthouses.
I gave you nice peaceful opponents in case you feel like just getting along with everyone... or to make the job of killing them easier. Have fun!
The game will start in the Ancient Era against 6 AI, at Normal game speed.
IMPORTANT: This game must be played with the BtS 3.19 patch, and the BUFFY mod version 3.19.003 for Windows players, MACBUFFY for Mac players.
As always, have fun playing the GOTM and we hope you join us in the postgame discussions!
