GOTMs Are Back!

Site status:

Following the site migration:

Civ 3 games and C-IV games are now running normally. Civ3 games that were affected by the downtime have had their deadlines extended to 15 December to give you a chance to submit.
CiV 5 games are not yet open for new games - we are working on those.

Some pages have not yet been fixed following the migration - those links are disabled. As we fix the pages, we'll re-enable those links.

There may be bugs we haven't yet discovered.

If you encounter any issues, please report them here.

What is Game of the Month?

Each month we publish new start files for the most popular Civ3, Civ4, Civ5 and Civ6 game versions. Players download and play them, and submit their final saves for comparison with the other entries. We rank the entries by speed and score, taking into account the type of victory or defeat.

It's easy for any CFC member to join this friendly competition:

For Civ3 and Civ4, click an image link in the left or right side bar of any page to go to a current game release page for your Civ version.
For Civ5 and Civ6, click the link in the game list below to take you to the Game Announcement page in the CFC forums.
Download a Start File from that page, and play the game once without replaying any turns.
Upload your final save before the deadline for that game, using the appropriate Submit page.
Discuss your game with other players in the Forum Spoiler threads, linked below.
We will post results and statistics to rank your attempt against those of other players.
