The mighty legions are becoming bored and restless, if their greivances are not soon met they will revolt, unless of course, you can keep them occupied. Your task is to find things for the famed Roman Legion to do, I'm sure it will not be too difficult as the world is seething with 6 so-called civilizations.
Julius Caesar is Organised and Expansive; starting with Fishing and Mining. As you are Organised you get Civic upkeep reduced 50 percent. Double production speed of lighthouse and courthouse. Being Expansive, you get +2 health per city. Double production speed of granary and harbor.
Your Unique unit is the Praetorian, replacing the Swordman. Compared to the Swordman this unit has a cost of 45 instead of 40, a strength of 8 instead of 6, and it can be built with the knowledge of Iron Working, and of course, Iron.
As always, have fun playing the GOTM and we hope you join us in the postgame discussions!

Choose your Game
Besides the normal contender, we sometimes provide an easier save (the adventurer save) and an extra-hard save (the challenger).
Below are the details for the saves we are providing for this game. You can choose to play and submit any one of these:
Adventurer (the easy save)
The adventurer starting save has been changed to make your game a bit easier. However, if you submit an adventurer game, you won't eligible to win any of the medals or fastest finish awards when the results are published.
These are your adventurer bonuses:
- Servants: You start the game with a Worker and an additional Warrior.

Challenger (the extra-hard save)
Play this save if you want an extra challenge. Your entry will be marked out as a contender
entry when the results are published, so you'll get extra kudos.
These are your challenger equalizers:
- Deity: You play the game at Deity difficulty, although AI will receive Immortal starting units and you will score as if playing on Immortal.
