Two puns for the price of one! In this Vanilla gotm, I give you Vanilla Ice on an Ice Age map.
Can you navigate the perils of the music industry? There are potential friends and definite enemies out there, not to mention the raging philistine critics (otherwise known as barbarians). Don't expect their acceptance, you will have to earn it. Extra kudo's to the earliest building of Rock'n'Roll. Please announce your R'n'R date in the Final Spoiler.
Vanilla Ice is Philosophical and Aggressive ; starting with Fishing and Hunting. Your Philosophical gives +100% great person birth rate and double production speed of University. Your Aggressive trait gives free Combat 1 promotion to Melee & Gunpowder units and double production speed of Barracks & Drydock.
Vanilla Ice's unique unit is the Phalanx, obviously, which is a Spearman with 1 extra strength & +25% hills defence
As always, have fun playing the GOTM and we hope you join us in the postgame discussions!

Choose your Game
Besides the normal contender, we sometimes provide an easier save (the adventurer save) and an extra-hard save (the challenger).
Below are the details for the saves we are providing for this game. You can choose to play and submit any one of these:
Adventurer (the easy save)
The adventurer starting save has been changed to make your game a bit easier. However, if you submit an adventurer game, you won't eligible to win any of the medals or fastest finish awards when the results are published.
These are your adventurer bonuses:
- GEMS: You play with 2 Gems in your BFC, 1E & 1SE, but your game will not be eligible for awards.

Contender (the standard save)
This is the save that most people play. If you want to enter the competition with a normal game, then download and play this one.

Challenger (the extra-hard save)
Play this save if you want an extra challenge. Your entry will be marked out as a contender
entry when the results are published, so you'll get extra kudos.
These are your challenger equalizers:
- Cowless: You play without the Cows on the Ice flood plains, but your game will be scored as it it was Warlords.
