We are going back to the future this month. To celebrate 100 Vanilla GOTM's, we are going to play the very first GOTM again! This time at Emperor instead of Noble, and with Goody Huts removed.
As there will be some of you with vague memories of the game, 8 years ago, I will tell you a few things to even it out. 1. There IS Iron close by, to the East. 2. There are 2 other continents, a large one East, and a small one North
PLEASE DO NOT GO LOOKING FOR DISCUSSIONS ON THE ORIGINAL GAME. We have hidden the ones we could easily find, but there will be more.
Caesar is Expansive and Organized ; starting with Fishing and Mining. Your Expansive trait gives +3 health/city and double production speed of Granary and Harbor Your Organized trait gives -50% civic upkeep and double production speed of Courthouse and Lighthouse
Caesar's unique unit is the Praetorian, The Praetorian benefits from: base strength = 8, 0% city attack bonus, and 45 hammers to build (on normal speed). This compares with the Swordsman which has: base strength = 6, 10% city attack bonus, and 40 hammers to build (on normal speed).
As always, have fun playing the GOTM and we hope you join us in the postgame discussions!

If you want to enter the competition, don't replay any turns. Feel free to discuss your game with other players, but ONLY in the spoiler threads that we'll open in this forum.

Choose your Game
Besides the normal contender, we sometimes provide an easier save (the adventurer save) and an extra-hard save (the challenger).
Below are the details for the saves we are providing for this game. You can choose to play and submit any one of these:
Adventurer (the easy save)
The adventurer starting save has been changed to make your game a bit easier. However, if you submit an adventurer game, you won't eligible to win any of the medals or fastest finish awards when the results are published.
These are your adventurer bonuses:
- I want it ORIGINAL: You play the game as it game originally, at Noble, but your game will not be eligible for awards.

Challenger (the extra-hard save)
Play this save if you want an extra challenge. Your entry will be marked out as a contender

- Gems Moved: The Gems have been moved to another AI's BFC.
